About
Greetings from Creature Kinships and Natural Affinities.
I have been involved in the arts as long as I can remember, drawing and painting as a child, then evolving to a career as a professional flutist while learning Chinese Brush Painting and printmaking. A move to the country and some health problems led me to learn to play the small harp. I studied Medieval, Renaissance, Celtic music. Recently my interest evolved yet again to playing recorder and piano. Meanwhile I am continuing my watercolor, pastel and artwork, as well as my strong interest in photography. I have published a book of music for Scottish Harp (and other instruments), as well as an annual calendar of bird photographs. I have been in many art shows as a signature member of Vermont Watercolor Society, where I also served as President and Secretary.
I have also had many solo and group shows at galleries and venues around New England, including Vermont Institute of Natural Science, Zollikofer Gallery, and Photostop Gallery (now closed down).
I am currently a moderator on the excellent website Naturescapes.net
My work as is often chosen “editor’s pick”
I also have many photos on Flickr
I participate regularly in Vermont ebird where citizen scientists catalogue sightings of local and international birds. This is important work, contributing to scientific research.
I am also a team of photographers for the Vermont Center for Ecostudies
I hope you enjoy your visit!
